Wine Club Fall 2009

Hi ,

I am very excited about the fall wine club wines, and here they are.

2007 Colorado Cabernet Sauvignon, Grand Valley
Just released, this wine has been in the works for 2 years. This spent 12 months in French oak, and then bulk aged in stainless steel until we bottled in early September. 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot, it has aromas of cranberries, blackberries, nutmeg and mint. Rich mouth feel with layers of flavors and a youthful tannic finish. Although you can drink this now, we recommend holding for a couple of years. We made this to cellar and should hold nicely for 10 years.
Wine Club Price $22.50

2007 Merlot, Alexander Valley
You’ve probably heard us talk about the late spring freeze in 2007 that forced us to look out of state for grapes and this Merlot was a part of that quest, Ash Creek Vineyards in Sonoma County. This is a fantastic expression of the Merlot grape, soft berry fruit, sweet toasted vanilla, chocolate, cedar and earth tones. Nice rounded fruit and slightly tannic, this too will need some cellar time to soften the tannins. 94% Merlot 6% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Wine Club Price $19.80

2008 Colorado White Merlot
The term ‘white’ in front of a red grape just means that it’s a rose’ or blush. The grapes are crushed and pressed with short skin contact for various shades of pink, then the juice is fermented like a white wine. This rose’ started out with a 2 day soak to get the color to raspberry. This particular vineyard turns out some BIG Merlot and I soaked for 2 days and got a nice dark raspberry. This is a full body rose’ that will stand up to a variety of food. It has loads of dark cherry flavors when it hits your palate, slightly sweet with a spicy finish. Serve ice cold or use as a Sangria base. Drink now.
Wine Club Price $10.00

The total cost is $56.50 tax included for pick-up at the winery. If you have it shipped there is an additional $15 for shipping.

Any additional bottles of these three wines you wish to purchase on pick up will have a 15% discount and a 20% case discount.

Join us Saturday October 9th for the 3rd Annual Grape Jam at the winery from 6p-10p. It's our 3rd Anniversary at the winery with food, wine and music. As a Wine Club Member you and a guest will be admitted free. Just RSVP by reply to this email.
